Hire Kart Terms and Conditions

1) All kart drivers must be aged 18 years or over, except for sessions using the Pro200 kart (min age 16 years old) or our junior karts (min age 9 years old). Drivers under 18 years old must be signed on by their parent or guardian who must also be present throughout the event.

2) For all adult kart drivers comfort we recommend a maximum participant weight limit of 18 stone (114kg) and height between 5ft (153cm) - 6ft 3inches (190cm).

For junior kart drivers there is a recommended height range between 4ft 2inches (127cm) - 5ft 6inches (168cm).

The maximum waist size to fit safely in any of the hire karts is 50 inches (125cm).

Please be aware our available helmet sizes range from Extra Small (53cm) to Extra Extra Extra Large (66cm)

3) If you or any of your guests suffer from any medical conditions or disabilities which may make it unsafe for them to drive; such as epilepsy, seizures, recurrent blackouts, fainting spells, dizziness or have been diagnosed with any form of psychiatric or mental illness, they will not be able to take part in the event.

Owner Driver Terms and Conditions

1) Drivers should be driving a kart which is suitable for their age range/ ability set by Motorsport UK.

 2) Please ensure your kart and racewear conforms to Motorsport UK standards. Meaning Motorcycle helmets, boiler suits and trainers are not acceptable. Bayford Meadows are unable to loan drivers any of our own racewear.

3) Unless written parental consent is presented, it is understood that the chaperone take full responsibility for all children (under the age of 18) in their group and if first aid needs to be administered that they are authorised to give consent.

 4) All drivers must be medically fit and not suffer from epilepsy or any other medical condition which may prohibit them from driving. Please notify the race director of any current medical conditions requiring preventative medicine before taking part in a karting session, i.e. asthma, extreme allergies. If anyone appears to be unfit to drive due to alcohol, drugs or any other reason, the Marshals reserve the right to prevent that person from participating or to remove them from Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd, and any payment already paid, shall not be refunded. It is strictly forbidden to bring alcohol or drugs onto the premises. Alcohol purchased from the onsite licensed facility may only be consumed by participants once all karting activities have concluded and it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure this is the case.

 5) Spectators, team members and drivers who are not participants in any event must remain within the designated spectator areas at all times and are not to venture onto the circuit unless requested to by Marshals or other members of staff.

6) Karts should be prepared to Motorsport UK standards and the drivers should be suitably experienced for the speeds that will be achieved on the circuit. In the event of a mechanical breakdown or accident please get yourself and the kart to a safe place and a Marshal will come to your assistance.

7) If you miss any off your dedicated sessions for any reason you are not allowed to go out in another session. You must wait till your next dedicated session to go out again.

 

Terms and Conditions for entry to Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd

1) Motorsport can be dangerous. Due to the very nature of karting, there is a certain element of risk for participants and spectators.

2) Access to Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit LTD is by pre-booking only. All persons, vehicles, property, etc. entering Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd. do so entirely at their own risk. All children under 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian or chaperone and enter entirely at their own risk.

3) Unless written parental consent is presented, it is understood that the chaperone take full responsibility for all children (under the age of 18) in their group and if first aid needs to be administered that they are authorised to give consent.

4) Neither Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd. nor any other organiser of events at Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd. shall be liable for any accident, injury or loss howsoever caused to any person, vehicle or property, or any claim arising therefrom, unless proven to be negligent.

5) Spectators, children and drivers who are not participants in any event must remain within the designated spectator areas at all times and are not to venture onto the circuit unless requested to by Marshals or other members of staff.

7) Because the driver is the only person who is in control of the kart, Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd and/or their agents accept no responsibility for any claim whatsoever, however this may arise. Any driver deliberately or accidentally causing his or her kart to come into contact with any other kart, person, building or obstacle (not being part of any course) will be stopped immediately, and may be removed from Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd.

8) Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd reserve the right to remove anyone, at any time, whose actions are, or could be considered dangerous or detrimental to other participants or the general public. Any damage caused wilfully by any participant will be repaired at the cost of that participant

9) All bookings are made subject to availability. Bookings are non-transferable, non-refundable and are valid for the booked date only.

10) Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd does not guarantee the time booked and will not provide any compensation if any event does not take place due to circumstances beyond our control. During certain periods the circuit may be closed or reserved for a pre-booked third party.

11) In the event of Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd. having to cancel any dates or restrict opening hours/days for whatsoever reason, all pre-paid participants will be offered places on alternative dates.  Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit Ltd reserve the right to amend or cancel any event or amend prices at the sole discretion of the management, without recourse.  In the case of any disputes, the decision of the Race Director or Management shall be final.

12) At the discretion of the Race Director, with prior consideration, the minimum age for the adult karts may be reduced for drivers with suitable experience.

13) Scooters, E-scooters, Bikes, Skateboards and Hover boards etc are banned from the site and should not be brought with you.
